Data Center Solutions: Design, Build and Continuity in Saudi Arabia

iPower designs and builds secure, high-performance data centers and server rooms, from power and cooling to disaster recovery and remote monitoring, designed to support business continuity and critical applications.

A data center is only as reliable as its weakest component. A single power path, an overloaded cooling unit or a rack nobody is watching can take down services the whole organization relies on. Whether you are building a new facility, upgrading a server room that grew without a plan or preparing a secondary site for continuity, iPower brings the facility and IT sides together. Since 2016 we have delivered infrastructure for banks, government entities and large enterprises across the Kingdom. We study what you have, design for current load and future growth, deliver with full documentation and stay with you for maintenance and expansion.

1The problem we solve

  • Server rooms that grew piece by piece, with mixed power, cooling and cabling standards.
  • Outages caused by a power or cooling failure that nobody saw coming.
  • No secondary site, or a continuity plan that has never been tested.
  • Little or no visibility of temperature, power load and equipment health.
  • Pressure to add capacity quickly without disrupting live systems.

2Scope of work and what you receive

  • Data center design & build

Space and rack layout, power distribution, cabling pathways and physical security, scoped from a single server room to a larger facility.

  • Disaster recovery & business continuity

Secondary-site design and recovery planning built around how quickly each system must return (RTO) and how much data you can afford to lose (RPO).

  • Power & cooling systems

UPS, power distribution and cooling sized for today's load with headroom for growth.

  • Remote monitoring & management

Monitoring of power, environment and key infrastructure, with alerts so issues are handled before they become outages.

What you receive at handover

  • Assessment of current load, risks and growth needs
  • Approved design: layout, power, cooling and cabling pathways
  • Installed and tested power, cooling and monitoring systems
  • As-built drawings, asset list and operating handover

3Support and maintenance after delivery

  • Preventive maintenance visits for power and cooling
  • Remote monitoring with alerts to your team and ours
  • Capacity reviews and expansion planning

Coverage and response times are set in your contract to match your needs. See also: Support & Maintenance, IT Outsourcing & Managed Services

Saudi regulatory alignment

Facility design directly affects resilience, physical security and business continuity. Where these frameworks apply to your organization, we take them into account in the technical design:

NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC-2:2024)

Physical security and the cybersecurity aspects of business continuity are explicit requirements for government entities and critical national infrastructure operators.

SAMA Business Continuity Management Framework

SAMA-regulated institutions need a documented IT disaster recovery plan and periodic DR testing; facility and DR-site design should support both.

CST Data Centers Services Regulation

Providers that offer data center services to others in the Kingdom must register each facility with the Communications, Space & Technology Commission. Relevant if you host third parties or use an external facility for DR.

iPower supports the technical controls and evidence; formal compliance remains the responsibility of your organization and is confirmed by the relevant regulator or auditor.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build full data centers or only server rooms?

Both. We deliver projects from server-room upgrades to larger data center build-outs, scoped to your capacity, redundancy and budget. We start with an assessment of your current load and growth plans.

Can you help us set up a disaster recovery site?

Yes. We design the secondary site and recovery plan around your recovery time (RTO) and recovery point (RPO) objectives, and help you test it. For data protection itself, see our Backup & Disaster Recovery service.

What does remote monitoring cover?

Typically power, temperature, humidity and the health of key infrastructure, with alerts to your team and ours. The exact scope and response times are agreed in your service agreement.

Can you upgrade power and cooling without shutting down live systems?

In most cases, yes. Work is phased and scheduled in agreed maintenance windows, with temporary measures and a rollback plan where needed.

Do you maintain the facility after handover?

Yes. Preventive maintenance and support can be added through our Support & Maintenance service, so the facility keeps performing as designed.

Is your data center ready for the next five years?

Request a data center assessment. We will review power, cooling, layout and continuity, show you where the risks are and send a tailored proposal.
