Microsoft Licensing in Saudi Arabia
iPower advises on, procures and renews Microsoft 365, Azure and on-premise licensing, and reviews what you already own so you are neither over-licensed nor under-licensed.
Microsoft licensing is one of the largest recurring software costs for most organizations, and one of the hardest to keep right. Users join and leave, servers are added, workloads move to Azure, and renewal dates arrive with little warning. iPower takes that work off your team: we review your current position, recommend the right mix of licenses and subscriptions, procure them, and track renewals so nothing lapses by surprise. Because we also supply the servers, devices and infrastructure your licenses run on, we look at licensing in the context of your whole environment.
Request a quote1The problem we solve
- Paying for Microsoft 365 licenses that are unused, or on higher plans than users need.
- Uncertainty about Windows Server, SQL Server and CAL requirements after infrastructure changes.
- Renewals discovered at the last minute, leaving no time to review options.
- Azure consumption growing without a clear subscription structure or owner.
- Concern about exposure if a vendor licensing review takes place.

Governance & data-residency considerations
Licensing terms are set by Microsoft, but a few Saudi considerations often come up when choosing what to license:
Data residency for cloud services
Microsoft has announced an Azure region in the Kingdom (Saudi Arabia East); not every service will be available there, so we check availability for your workloads before you commit.
Sector and government rules
Entities subject to NCA ECC, SAMA requirements or government-data rules may have hosting requirements that affect which Microsoft cloud services and locations they use.
Government procurement
Public-sector entities can procure through Etimad, where iPower is registered.
Licensing terms and service availability are defined by Microsoft and change over time; final licensing positions should always be checked against current Microsoft terms.

Frequently asked questions
Can you review our current Microsoft licenses?
Yes. License review is part of the service: we compare what you own with actual usage and recommend changes to avoid over- or under-licensing.
Do you supply Azure as well as Microsoft 365?
Yes. We provide Azure subscriptions alongside Microsoft 365, Office and on-premise licensing such as Windows Server and SQL Server.
What are CALs and do we need them?
Client Access Licenses (CALs) allow users or devices to access certain Microsoft server products, such as Windows Server. Whether you need them depends on your products and licensing model; we confirm this during the review.
Can you help us reduce our Microsoft costs?
Often, yes: by removing unused licenses, matching plans to user roles and planning renewals early. The actual saving depends on your current position, which the review will show.
Will our Microsoft cloud data be hosted in Saudi Arabia?
It depends on the service. Microsoft has announced an Azure region in the Kingdom (Saudi Arabia East), but not every service will be available there. We check data location for the services you plan to use.
Renewal coming up, or not sure you are licensed correctly?
Request a Microsoft licensing review and quote. We will check your current position and recommend the right mix.
